miniminiaturemouse was created and began in Febuary 2004. It was definitely not a serious art site at that time, especially most of the drawings were my doodles and I was not confident with what I was creating. However, encouragements from friends and a huge help from friend named Wilfred, this site was launched.
This site will be in its third year in February 2008. It grew big and I have created so many things, especially memories and stories in my drawing world. Many supports and encouragements from people have helped me and miniminiaturemouse dot com this far. Without any of help and supports, I would have quit this site a while ago.
Where did the named miniminiaturemouse come from? I get this question asked very often. My first given name on the birth certificate (now I use it as my middle name) was mini (spelled and pronounced like minnie in Japanese). Then when I turned into first grade, my name was changed to hifumi (i go as fumi because people mis-pronounce my name very often, I guess "hi" part is little bit tricky for some people). That's where mini refered from. miniature comes from my height (I am exactly five feet tall) and many things I do are tiny: handwriting to drawing for example, my old work used to be in anything under and around 4 x 6 papers and i love using 0.05 mm pens and 0.3 mm mechanical pencils. my sketchbooks are in the tiny scribbles and people often say they need magnifying glasses to see my writing and drawing. mouse is very simple! I was born in the year of the rat and many say I am a mouse like. if you combine all three words together, it creates miniminiaturemouse! and that is me! :>
